Madison County @ Monona Terrace
| WHERE: | Monona Terrace - Map It! Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center is open to the public daily from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. We invite you to take advantage of all the public spaces - inside and out - that Monona Terrace has to offer. An essential design element of the building was to keep the 12 km pathway around Lake Monona. The bike path and walkway wrap around this building and there is an elevator on the east side that can accommodate up to three bicycles and riders at a time. The elevator, which was the first of its kind in Madison, enables bikers to move from the lake level to the Wilson Street level. Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center was Created with traditions in mind - traditions of community service, education and entertainment for all ages. Little wonder that the nucleus of the band, one Adam Becvare — a rock ‘n’ roll legend in his own right — was tapped in 2003 by Brian James (The Damned) and Dave Tregunna (Sham 69) to front their reformed Lords of the New Church in place of late punk great Stiv Bators (Dead Boys). What convinced them: The Black Sugar Sessions, a series of unreleased LustKillers recordings that took the mythical route that’s all but disappeared in the digital age: circulated hand-to-hand and hyped by word-of-mouth.
