| Adem Tesfaye Adem Tesfaye, a Madison, Wisconsin born MC, began his musical experience at a young age. He participated in freestyling, writing and talent shows through middle school. By high school he had evolved into a B-boy learning with his uncles LaCouir and Tim Yancey. With his uncles, he was one of the original founders of Black Poets Society, a local group who performed rap lyrics over live instruments in the nineties. The group recived mad love but ended their fame short, due to the solo success of Adem's album. Recording under the name D-iz-ill his debut L.P The Sickness was released in Madison,WI. This taste of success inspired him to pack up and move out west to Seattle where he began promotion of his album. He played locally at some of the premiere clubs in downtown Seattle. During his experience he was introduced to the guitar and embracing this new muse, he began writing new material. With his new sound he returned to Madison. Adem is currently playing out solo and with his band the Soul Rap Movement. He is currently in the studio working on his next full album, and recently released a limited edition E.P., View Website - |

| Drastics, The “The group dominates Chicago’s live dub scene, namely because they are the live dub scene. While you can catch your standard Peter Tosh/Bob Marley set any night at Exedus II or the Wild Hare, no one else drops the Drastics’ brand of expansive grooves…The band undoubtedly takes cues from legendary pioneers like King Tubby and melodica maestro Augustus Pablo, while blending in elements of hip-hop, jazz, afro-beat, dancehall and rocksteady. And in keeping with dub’s test-tube aesthetic, live improvisation plays a key role. Muscular, rolling bass lines anchor fades and swells while guitar, keys, horns, percussion and ricocheting snare shots get retooled real-time through a mixer onstage.” View Website - |

| Paul Cebar and The Milwaukeeans Paul Cebar cut his teeth musically in the coffeehouse folk scene of the mid-'70s in Milwaukee. First paying gigs took place in late '76 with an emphasis on solo recasting of small combo jump-blues and other early R&B. Upon graduation from New College in Sarasota, Florida, with a thesis addressing rhythm & blues varities featuring a hearty emphasis on Louis Jordan and Buddy Johnson, Cebar dedicated himself to trodding the boards in earnest and spent substantial amounts of time testing the waters out New York way while exploring band dynamics with a soul and New Orleans-minded crew called the R&B Cadets back home. The Cadets ranged about from 1980 to 1986 and featured the grand original tunes of John Sieger alongside the winning assortment of B sides and obscurities that were the fruits of Cebar's research. Concurrently, he kept alive the spark of his solo work with a small group which came to be known as The Milwaukeeans. Throughout the early 80s, this combo featured Rip Tenor on tenor sax, Alan Anderson on upright bass, Robyn Pluer on vocals and Paul on acoustic guitar and vocals, and drew most of its repertoire from '30s, '40s and '50s jazz and R&B. | The Reverend Eddie Danger Described as “Cosmic Folk with a Tribal Twist of Jazz” or simply “Feel Good Music”. A One-Man Band playing over 25 instruments. The lyrics are word heavy stories with an underlying message usually about political or environmental justice, Metaphysical epiphanies or frustrations and blowing off the suburban teen angst, bad love, & trashy rap star negative vibe mentality saturating today’s music. “I have bad days like anyone else. I just make a conscious effort in my songwriting to focus on the positive. Even my sad songs tend to see the light through the clouds”. –Ed Danger View Website - |
