| John Statz Given a guitar by his grandmother when he was 15, John quickly put his background in music from playing the piano and trombone to good use. After playing in a few different bands in high school, John began to delve into solo music upon entering college. Influences ranging from Damien Rice to Tom Waits and Keller Williams helped to morph his style into the unique sound he has today. John has played all over the Fox Valley in Wisconsin, as well as in Colorado, Iowa, and Michigan. He has played at the first annual "Midwest Acoustic Music Festival" in Elkhart Lake, WI, as well as the first annual "Local Music Festival" in Oshkosh, WI. As 2006 begins John looks forward to the release of his first full length album, "Dusk Came Slow", of which samples can be heard on his website, www.johnstatz.com.
