16 band(s). add a band| Adem Tesfaye Adem Tesfaye, a Madison, Wisconsin born MC, began his musical experience at a young age. He participated in freestyling, writing and talent shows through middle school. By high school he had evolved into a B-boy learning with his uncles LaCouir and Tim Yancey. With his uncles, he was one of the original founders of Black Poets Society, a local group who performed rap lyrics over live instruments in the nineties. The group recived mad love but ended their fame short, due to the solo success of Adem's album. Recording under the name D-iz-ill his debut L.P The Sickness was released in Madison,WI. This taste of success inspired him to pack up and move out west to Seattle where he began promotion of his album. He played locally at some of the premiere clubs in downtown Seattle. During his experience he was introduced to the guitar and embracing this new muse, he began writing new material. With his new sound he returned to Madison. Adem is currently playing out solo and with his band the Soul Rap Movement.
